I live in a house with most of them and just was on tour with them for a month and I think you'll dig it. Think Against Me meets the Pogues. ONE REASON Soulful, melodic punk rock sounds like it could be from DC but no they're from Mississippi. plan-it-x records. THE MAX LEVINE ENSEMBLE Pop punk from Washington DC area. HISSY FIT Pop punk from Philly, w/ Ryan from Abe Froman. Think Jawbreaker and the Pixies. BONES AND ARROWS Inspirational feminist punk rock from DC. These kids rule. At THE NOTASQUAT HOUSE (in the basement!) To get to there (4600 8th St. NW-- corner 8th & Buchanan): BY METRO: Green line to Georgia Ave./Petworth. Walk north on Georgia Ave. to the second street. Take a right onto Randolph St. and then the first left onto 8th St. Walk several blocks until you get to Buchanan St. The NotaSquat is the red brick house with pink awnings on the corner. It'll take about 12 minutes to walk. Take a friend. OTHERWISE: Head north on Georgia Ave. and turn right onto Buchanan St. The house is two blocks up on the left. ALSO: Basically this same show is happening in Richmond, VA the night before and Philadelphia and Allentown the two following nights.
